首先在一些重工企業(yè)常用超大負(fù)荷的液壓萬能試驗(yàn)機(jī)，這種液壓萬能試驗(yàn)機(jī)由于工作壓力較高，常采用20號(hào)、35號(hào)或者45號(hào)無縫鋼管材料制作。其中，20號(hào)無縫鋼管材料，因其機(jī)械性能較低，且不能調(diào)質(zhì)，故現(xiàn)在很少使用了。需要與缸蓋、管接頭、耳軸等零件焊接在一起的缸體，可用35號(hào)無縫鋼管材料制作，并在粗加工后進(jìn)行調(diào)質(zhì)。用螺紋與其他零件鏈接的缸體，可采用45號(hào)鋼調(diào)質(zhì)到HB241至285區(qū)間。

那么對(duì)于工作壓力較低的液壓萬能試驗(yàn)機(jī)則可采用高強(qiáng)度的鑄鐵制作油缸；對(duì)于工作壓力較高的液壓萬能試驗(yàn)機(jī)，可采用無縫鋼管材料制作其油缸。
